I decided a long time ago that an SLP career didn't have to fit inside the traditional box. 

I've spent 20 years in speech-language pathology and have worked across the profession before building my niche in Corporate Speech Therapy. Since 2017, I've been doing the work I'm now teaching you to explore; working with professionals, executives, physicians, attorneys, bankers, professors, athletes, and organizations where communication matters. 

When I founded Transcendent Accents, a corporate speech therapy and accent modification firm, it started as a different way to use my SLP expertise. However, it has given me the autonomy, creativity, and professional fulfillment I once didn't know was possible in this field.

Along the way, I've been invited to share this work through conference presentations, professional webinars, podcasts, university programs, and speaking engagements with SLP audiences. I've also been honored with the 2025 Heart of Charlotte Speech-Language Pathologist of the Year (Educational focus) award. My company, Transcendent Accents, has been recognized by The Charlotte Observer as a Best of the Best nominee in both 2025 and 2026, adding to the recognition I've received for pushing the boundaries of what speech-language pathology can look like. 

Here’s the truth: You don't need to leave the speech pathology career. You need to expand your understanding of what an SLP can do.
